This month is ALS Awareness Month. ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. There is no cure for ALS yet.Did you know that every 90 minutes someone gets diagnosed with ALS, and someone passes away from it.

What are some of the signs?
- Muscle cramps
- Tight and stiff muscles
- Muscle weakness affecting an arm, a leg, the neck, or diaphragm
- Swallowing problems
- Bladder/bowel issues
- Breathing problems
