Dehydration can happen quite easily, especially in the summer months. Living in the Southern Utah area can make this even more of an issue with our extreme heat. You can experience dehydration when you lose more fluid than you take in. Not having enough fluid in your body can make it harder for your body to complete their natural functions.
Did you know that the elderly are at a higher risk for dehydration? This is due to the elderly having a lower fluid content in their body already. This makes it easier for the elderly to get dehydrated.

- Loss of balance
- Thirst
- Dry skin
- Headache
- Increased heart rate

- Decrease of urinary output
