Accessibility statement
Families reach this website at two in the morning, on a phone, exhausted, and sometimes with a disability of their own. It has to work for all of them. This page says plainly what we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something is in your way.
If this website is in your way, call and we will simply tell you
You never have to fight this website to get an answer. A nurse answers our phone at 435-635-1001 twenty-four hours a day, every day, and anyone on our team will read you anything on this site, take a referral by phone, or talk through admissions without you filling in a single form. That is not a lesser option — for many families it is the better one anyway.
What we are aiming for
We build and maintain this site to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and the standard referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508. We treat it as the floor rather than the finish line.
What we have actually done
Each of these is in place today and re-checked whenever we change the site:
- Colour contrast measured, not guessed. Every text and interface colour is checked against the background it actually renders on — from the rendered pixels — at 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for controls. The palette was changed where it fell short.
- Every image has alternative text, so a screen reader describes what is there. Decorative images are marked as decorative so they are skipped rather than read aloud pointlessly.
- Every form field has a visible label tied to its input, with required fields marked in text rather than by colour alone.
- Every link and button says where it goes in its own words. You should never meet a bare “click here” on this site.
- The whole site works by keyboard, with a visible outline on whatever you have landed on, and a “Skip to content” link as the first stop on every page so you are not tabbing through the menu each time.
- Headings are in real order — one page title, then a genuine outline beneath it — so screen-reader users can jump around instead of reading top to bottom.
- Tap targets are sized for a thumb, and the site reflows to a phone screen without horizontal scrolling or pinching.
- Motion respects your settings. If your device asks for reduced motion, the animations here switch off.
- Text can be resized and the page zoomed without content being cut off or overlapping.
- Nothing autoplays — no video, no audio, no carousel moving on its own while you are trying to read.
- No third-party scripts run on this site at all. No advertising trackers, no chat widget, and deliberately no accessibility overlay. That is a privacy decision — federal guidance restricts trackers on pages about care — and an accessibility one: overlays frequently interfere with the screen readers and other assistive technology people have already set up the way they like.
What we know is imperfect
A site that claims to be flawless is a site nobody has tested properly. The honest list:
- Links that leave our site — the phone dialer, Google Maps directions, our Google review page — land somewhere we do not control and cannot promise for.
- Paperwork handled off the website, such as insurance forms, may not be accessible. Ask us and we will read it to you, complete it with you over the phone, or provide it in another format at no cost.
- We have tested with automated tools and by keyboard, and have not yet completed a full audit with every major screen reader. When a real person tells us something does not work for them, that outranks any tool we run.
Tell us about a problem
If any part of this website blocks you, we want to know — and we would far rather hear about something small than have you assume we already know.
- Phone: 435-635-1001, answered twenty-four hours a day
- Fax: 435-266-1002
- In person or by post: 690 N. Industrial Rd #3, St. George, UT 84770
Tell us which page you were on and what happened. We aim to respond within two business days, and we will tell you either that it is fixed or how we will get you the information in the meantime. Fixing it is the point; the report is not a formality.
How this page is kept honest
This statement was last reviewed on 28 August 2026. Accessibility is checked with automated testing and manual keyboard review whenever we publish changes, and this page is updated when anything on the lists above changes — in either direction.
